mmmm.....Raspberries!!!

Yup, summer's finally here!! I spent my morning picking raspberries and then I went back in the afternoon for more! There's nothing better than a nice sun-warmed overly ripe raspberry that just falls off when you brush against it. YUM!

Today was the first day of picking at the Harvold Field in Carnation. Only $1.25 per pound! How can you beat that? I know we'll be having raspberry pie, raspberry cobbler, raspberries with our oatmeal, pork with raspberry-chiptole sauce, and raspberry margaritas for quite awhile!

Checked off the list!!

Ever make a mental list of things to accomplish in work or life? I'm not talking things to do by the end of the workday or what to pick up at the grocery store, more like very long-term plans and goals. One of my goals were crossed off my mental list this past weekend. :)

It started out as a very normal portrait session in Carnation; extended family out visiting for the summer, I'm there to photograph everyone together. The weather cooperated wonderfully; cloudy, and the rain held off long enough. We got all done and then the fun started! I have always wanted to photograph a family that was brave enough and adventuresome enough that would jump in the water for me! Thank you!!!

Family Fun On-Location

Oddly enough, I get a lot of questions based on whether or not I travel for sessions. I've always thought it was obvious based on the content of my galleries, on-location price options and locations in the calendars. Apparently not, my fault. Oops! :) Time to share some on-location ONLY and skip my studio work!!

In the past few months, some of the places I've been are the tulip fields in Mt. Vernon, a beach on Camano Island, a home in Spokane for a newborn session, two families in North Bend, and east on Highway 2 for a family who likes the outdoors. Shortly I'll be off to Oregon for beach sessions this summer and of course, I'll be spending all my October weekends outdoors as well. I LOVE the autumn leaves!!!

So, yes, I travel!! Where's the furthest I've gone? There were a few families I photographed in California in the San Francisco area. Weddings I've helped with in Mexico. Sessions I've helped with in Austin,Texas. What I love the most is finding new fun places to photograph and explore.

Thanks for getting me out of the studio!!
